Starting January 13th at 12 pm will be the Eastern Viticulture and Enology Forum (EVEF) Webinar Series - Spotted Lanternfly: Research Updates and Panel Discussion.Registration is free but required.The spotted lanternfly (SLF), an invasive sap-feeding pest, continues to pose significant challenges for vineyards as it spreads into new grape-growing regions. Join researchers and extension professionals as they share the latest findings on SLF management, including its impacts on grapevine biology, wine composition, and potential complications with harvest mechanization. Presenters will also explore consumer and stakeholder perceptions of SLF and current control strategies. The session concludes with a moderated Q&A, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with panelists and get practical, research-informed answers to their SLF questions.
